After several months I start to dwell again on this shot. I remember well then:
Kyoto, early afternoon, September.
I had deliberately lost a net of small streets in the eastern part of the city, I went to Kyoto alone (indeed much of my time I have been) time I walked through the alleys of this ambiguous part of the city, to calm, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. Suddenly, after passing along one of those walls on which condo you probably just before Ranma had walked himself or his, I found myself faced with this "gutter" at a glance how low. Sliced \u200b\u200bnet "the jumble of houses I had seen earlier in the alleys, like a glimpse into the gray sky blue Japanese this canale portava una pennellata di colore e romanticismo ad un paesaggio grigio ed uniforme. Non so ancora il perchè ma la vista delle persone che si rilassavano passeggiando sulle sponde o delle scolarette che si rinfrescavano in acqua mi ha rallegrato, forse per il fatto che fino a quel momento mi èro quasi abituato a vedere soltanto masse di giapponesi stressati in eterno ritardo verso qualche meta a me ignara (tempo dopo avrei scoperto le domeniche a Yoyogi park..).
Ho fatto questo scatto senza pensarci due volte, ma non sono assolutamente riuscito a catturare quell'atmosfera, andando avanti avrei trovato altri canaletti come questo, alcuni decisamente più belli ma da un punto di vista "emozionale " più artefatti.
