Manrico Ducceschi grew up in Pistoia . He started at the University of Florence literature and philosophy study, the study had to because of his military call-up to break, however. When, after the events of the 8th September 1943 the Italian army was disbanded, he returned from Tarquinia back home.With his military experience, he quickly came into contact with the group "Giustizia e Libertà (Justice and Freedom") in Florence. He took the opportunity to gather a group of Patriots to familiarize yourself with the aim of combating German occupation army in Italy.
Thanks to its highly regarded skills and experience as a commander, he won many battle-ready young people, so he was able to build a battle-ready patriotic force in Italy. The 11th Patriotic military zone one of the few groups of partisans who are not military defeat suffered.
Because of his partisan activities, he was on the list of those persecuted by the Germans, not only he but all his relatives. They were therefore forced to hide for the duration of the war, then had his mother and sister once hiding in a hearse.
Manrico "Pippo" was one of the few who managed to Milan after . He was of the USA awarded the Bronze Star , which was awarded to him in the building Santini Lucca . For all its undeniable merits, he got no recognition from the reigning political parties. Even the promise to pay him later, a monument in Pistoia, was not yet satisfied. His body was there from Lucca, where he died, convicted and buried there. On 24
August 1948 had to Pippo to Rome to report on some partisan groups. After his return home he found his father, who made his worries about his son, hanged himself with his own belt. Thus began the mystery around his death.
Many speculations were made then, but even though the official version still posed by suicide, many doubts exist on this version.
